Fault of one man.....

All things wrong with the Cavs are the fault of one man... MIKE BROWN !!!

I have no idea what DAN the man Gilbert is thinking when rehiring him.

Hopefully the media and this amazing blog will shed some hope on the cavs future and they will learn from there mistakes and remove this man from the likes of the NBA.

HE is not a good basketball coach (hes probably a really nice guy, and really good at job internviews) BUT he is not for NBA and not for a HIGH SCHOOL team; HECK...  I wouldn't even let him coach my nephews CYO basketball team.

WAR CAVS !!!!

Happy Thanksgiving !!!

Mike Brown is Weak Sauce

One of the most disappointing things in this young season has been that under Mike Brown the Cavaliers players have all regressed. Tristan looks lost as usual and is shooting 43% from the field. The Cavaliers young all star PG looks like a deer in headlights in an offense that is best described as putrid. Dion Waiters who had somewhat of a promising first season has been a major disappointment in this young season.

Dion and KI have shown no ability to play together. While quite a bit of this is on the players themselves ideally you would have a coach who finds away to bring both of their talents together in a cohesive manner. Looking at the players demeanor it is apparent that any joy that there was in Cavaliers land has been sapped by Mike Brown's singular focus on defense.

The Pelican Brief

Mike Brown's defensive juggernaut managed to steal defeat from the arms of victory tonight, losing to the New Orleans Seagulls (or whatever the hell they are called now, I think they are the Pelicans) 104-100. Here are some of my scribbles from tonight's game:

THE GOOD

Anthony Bennett did not play (coach's decision).  Good call, Mike.  He sucks.

Dion Waiters scored 14 off the bench and DID NOT punch anyone in the face.

Tonight's implosion makes me confident that we have a foot firmly planted in the Parker/Wiggins/Randle sweepstakes.

THE BAD

Fourth quarter defensive ineptitude and inability to rebound were the theme in the final five minutes. The Pelicans missed 4 layups in the final minutes, one of which was actually contested. The Cavs could have easily lost by double digits.

The Matthew Delavadova Era looks to have ended as fast as it started.  The undrafted rookie who started in place of the injured C.J. Miles recorded zero points, one assist, and two rebounds in 12 minutes on the floor. Sorry, Mike, but Dela won't save your job or make you look competent any time soon.

Offensive glass was scarce for the Cadavaliers.  The Pelicans out-rebounded the Cavs on the offensive side 19-7.

Turnovers: Cavaliers 20, Pelicans 12.  Nuff said.

THE UGLY

We lost to a team called The Pelicans.

We travel to San Antonio tomorrow.

Good night, Cavs faithful.

Vinnie

Michael Brown...

Maybe if he just changed his name. Like how Michael Jackson suddenly became Michael Dyson (worst name change in the history of 80's Browns wideouts, btw). Maybe that would change the philosophy. I don't know what else to try at this point.

As we approach the 13th game of the Cavs ever devolving season, I'm starting to have violent flashbacks. Our (super)star, dribbling at the top of the key, while everyone else waits for him to shake and or bake. Flashbacks of a 10 man rotation - of preaching defense, but not playing much of it. It's all too surreal.

Michael Brown is probably a good husband, great father and decent euchre player. For all I know he saves bunnies from Elmer Fudd. But I do know he has absolutely no idea how a professional basketball team is expected to perform offensively. We've all played in pickup games at the rec center with more offensive cohesion. Move the ball, find the open guy, take a good shot. repeat. These seem like basic principals of basketball. Not for Michael Brown though. I suspect he just stops paying attention every time we cross the timeline.

Hopefully that changes tonight - but I doubt it.

Go Cavs.

Colossal Debacal

Only 20 some games into this Cadavealier season and I fear the season is a colossal debacle with Mike Brown being the head clown. He may be a sharp dresser but his offensive sets are anything but.

Dan Gilbert rehiring this man in an attempt to recapture past glory that never was is merely a continuation of the tragedy manifested when the self-proclaimed chosen one took his talents to South Beach.

Fire This Man !!!
